is arguably the oldest seaside resort in Britain – with a busy harbour, haven to a welter of fishing vessels and there are the usual seaside pursuits a-plenty on the adjacent South Bay promenade, which leads to the Spa. The steep hillsides are beautifully landscaped and there are many attractive parks and gardens. The resort is noted for its theatres and there is an art gallery and several small museums. The Cumberland Hotel is very well situated on the South Cliff a few minutes walk from the Spa complex, beach and town centre with excellent views of the town from the north facing rooms. This excellent hotel has recently been extensively refurbished. All 86 bedrooms have central heating, private bath or shower and WC, hair dryer, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. boasts two superb beaches. The shingly North Shore (outside your hotel) is the busier of the two with its Victorian Pier, boat trips, donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows and much more. The sandy west shore is quieter with miles of sands and panoramic views of the Snowdonia mountain range in the distance. Llandudno is a highly attractive resort with its magnificent crescent of hotels, broad tree-lined streets and elegant shops all combining to produce a unique atmosphere. There are two golf courses. A tramway and cable car both offer a route to the summit of the Great Orme (which also boasts a superb dry ski slope - one of the best in Britain). There is plenty to do both by day and by night and you are sure never to have a dull moment at what many would claim to be the most complete of all British holiday resorts. HYDRO HOTEL is ideally placed on the sea front, close to the Aberconwy Centre and a short walk from Llandudno's wonderful shops, the Pier and Happy Valley gardens. Ballroom, superb "Looking Glass" bar with views over the bay, sun lounges and games room with snooker. Lift serves most floors although all floors are split level and some stairs are unavoidable to most rooms. All 120 bedrooms are centrally heated and have tea/coffee making facilities, private bath or shower and WC, hair dryer and TV with radio channels. Many have views over the bay or else over the town to the Snowdonian mountains in the distance |

is one of Britain's most enigmatic resorts: hemmed in by picturesque granite buildings. There are innumerable small craft and antique shops, art galleries, pubs and cafes. Porthmeor Beach provides surf and excitement whilst the quieter beaches at Porthminster and Carbis Bay provide more sheltered bathing. In between are rocky headlands and the delightful harbour, said to have been the place where St.Ia (after whom the resort is named) arrived from Ireland in a coracle. Our hotel is situated in Carbis Bay, with its lovely wooded coves and sandy beach, about two miles from the heart of St.Ives, which is easily accessible by train. The COTTAGE HOTEL is delightfully situated in extensive grounds overlooking Carbis Bay, 300 yards from the beach and two minutes' walk from the railway station linking Carbis Bay to St.Ives (5 minute journey). All 80 rooms are centrally heated and have bath or shower and WC, hair dryer, TV with radio channels, tea/coffee making facilities and intercom. The dining room and lounge both have lovely views of the bay and there is a large ballroom with entertainment most evenings. There are two bars, a games room, heated outdoor swimming pool, two lifts and a TV lounge. |

was once a small fishing village, which has grown into a bustling holiday resort which is full of character with its narrow, twisting streets in the town centre. Cromer is set amidst the pleasant countryside of Norfolk with it's lanes, villages with flint cottages and of course the Norfolk Broads - miles and miles of waterways weaving their way through this unique landscape. The delightful Hotel De Paris occupies the finest position in Cromer, close to the shops and historic parish church and directly overlooking the pier and beach. All 54 rooms are central heating and have tea/coffee making facilities, televisions and private bath or shower and WC. Most rooms have excellent views over the sea or Cromer Woods. There is a superb reception lounge, bar, games room and a delightful dining room with a dance floor. There is a Lift, however for some rooms there are a few stairs. |

Nowadays it offers a rich mixture of immaculate sands, lovely gardens, a busy marina and a range of leisure interests that combine to make it an excellent resort for all ages. There are boat trips aplenty but also lots to do on dry land with good shops, a museum, many old pubs and good walks at every turn.
